Looking to expand your world and get introduced to a new language and culture? Join China Friends for one daily hour of fun Mandarin camp. Small student to teacher ratio allows division of students per age and per level.

Founded in 2004, ChinaFriends has been a World Camp and Lycee partner since 2008. 

Our "My Daily hour of..." series offer one hour of fun, daily activities in French, English, Italian and Mandarin. These classes are offered at different times of the day. Select the language of your choice, or combine them to add fun to your day and expand your world.

Six weekly camps will be offered Camp will be offered June 22-July 31. Every camp is a stand alone camp with different activities. Campers can register for all six weeks or for any individual week of camp.

Thanks to our long-standing partnership with China Friends, World campers are in for a treat this summer. Visit Beijing with native local guides who have captured authentic videos of many famous sights which will be used as teaching materials in order to make you feel as if you were truly there with us. This e-camp will show you both ancient China and modern China. You will learn about Chinese history, Chinese culture (e.g. Chinese Kungfu), Chinese daily life (e.g. Wechat payment and transportations), Chinese cuisine (e.g. Chinese hot pot and dumplings).

 

Guided visits will include the Summer Palace and The Dragon lady, The Forbidden City, The Great Wall, Tien' Anmen Square, the narrow streets of Hutong, local markets or Daoxiangcun and its royal pastries. Combining traditions and modern life, visit on the same day Beijing's most modern buildings, meet with a Chinese Kungfu Master and attend a demonstration of Square dancing. All with live commenting from the remote teachers who have made these visits for you.

Visit Xi' a with native local guides who have captured authentic videos of many famous sights which will be used as teaching materials in order to make you feel as if you were truly there with us. This e-camp will show you both ancient China and modern China. You will learn about Chinese history,  (e.g. the Qin Dynasty and Terracotta Warriors), Chinese culture (e.g. Chinese calligraphy), Chinese daily life and Chinese cuisine. 

 

Xi’an is a large city and the capital of Shaanxi Province in central China. Once known as Chang’an (Eternal Peace), it marks the Silk Road's eastern end. There, you will go back in time and learn about a very rich and diverse history, visiting the Terracotta Army of the first emperor of unified China, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a Buddhist pagoda that holds treasures brought to China, and you will visit the Muslim Quarter, home of 10 mosques. You will also visit popular places of Xi’an such as the tumbler lady, drop the alcohol bowl, etc, and learn about the rich local gastronomy. All with live commentary from the remote teachers who have made these visits for you.
